As an educator, Ashley Kay Cypher is dedicated to helping students build confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of music. She approaches teaching with curiosity, encouragement, and a belief that every young musician deserves the tools and support to thrive artistically — no matter their starting point.

Ashley brings extensive experience in both classroom and individual instruction:

• Program Manager & Assistant to the Artistic/Executive Director
  Youth Symphony of Kansas City — supporting artistic programming, ensemble operations, and student experience across the organization
• Department Chair & Director of Bands and Orchestra
  Lincoln Northeast High School (NE) — ensembles awarded consistent superior ratings and recognized for musical excellence
• Thriving private studio specializing in clarinet, bassoon, and woodwind doubling
• Guest teacher and clinician for university honor bands and community workshops
• Adjudicator for solo and chamber music festivals
• Mentor for emerging woodwind performers, including audition and repertoire preparation
